7AAE3B8D-119A-4CD5-BC64-91339B5D524F.jpeg OK So I got it a month ago and forgot to post. I am not endorsed by nor do I work for Overwater.
Got this from Chris and company a few weeks ago. Every day when I am done practicing I tell my wife the same thing - This bass is unbelievable-

It is an Scott Devine signiture with a few differences. The main thing is the reduced body size, reduced string spacing, smaller geometry neck fits me like a fine tailored suit. The size of a J or P bass may work for some but one size does not fit all. The neck feels like an amazing first class strat neck but longer.

This model is a brilliant idea. the workmanship is first class.
    33” scale
    20 frets
    no pickguard rear mounted controls
    16.5 mm string spacing
neck width at 20 th fret about the size of a strat
    drop d tuner
    low luster finish
    active electronics without active eq
    single coils with no hum

In the early 1970's I was in college for music, had a friend that lived nearby and she invited me over to play some classical music, really. I was a flute player. Her parents had just built a room on to their home that now housed two, not one Steinway full grand pianos. I always wanted to stick my head inside a grand piano when the cover was up. Well I did it on this occasion. The sound blew me away. So why am I telling you this? Every day when I play this bass there are moments that I hear that grand piano.

Congrats. Whenever Scott Devine plays his Overwater Jazz, I think it sounds amazing, better than all his P's put together !!

Sounds wonderful. Am also a flautist... The contrast between the two instruments is refreshing if in for a long session.

I didn't realized the only credentials to have a signature model was to have many you tube subscribers

That's the world we live in now.
My kids watch Dan TDM and Pewdiepie play video games on yootoob. These guys make millions due to monetized channels based on hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

True that. Scott is a brilliant player and good for him becoming successful at bass through media.

    All I mean is that
A..which successful band has he played with.
B..which hit records hss je played on.
C.. he is a guy who teaches some people a few things .reviews basses and pedals and he is a great self promoter.
    D. I just dont believe that warrants a signature bass.
    Geddy . James jamerson.
    Jack Bruce. Pino...JpJ...entwistle
Macca.. Etc..all yes.. ...scott , c'mon ...I'm just old school.
    Sorry

Umm, what's the point of giving somebody a signature instrument? It's so the company who makes the instrument can grow their brand. I don't see why the only criteria should be to have a hit record.

Lets not forgot Davie504 also has a signature instrument.

Some dumb replies to this thread. Scott is a (seemingly) great guy who helps thousands of players get better.
