Been trolling for a cheap p bass for a while. Found this one at the pawn shop today. Was missing a strap button and ferral on one of the tunning keys, had both of those at home. Usual body dings and scratches, neck in great shape but I need to do some light sanding on it to smooth out a few rough spots. Pickups sound good. $90 out the door with a cheap gig bag.
Thanks guys, Sn is mn410xxx, is that a 1994? They had a tag of $180 but was able to talk him down so easy that I probably could have gotten it cheaper.
love pawn shops, something told me to pop into one today. An almost brand new MXR Phase 90 pedal was in there, asked for a price, girl said "today you get 20% off, so it's $70" ! sweet
Nice deal! There's a MIM Squier Series in a shop near me with the tiny Squier logo removed, and they wouldn't budge from $300...
Nice…pawn shops are always worth walking into; even if there is nothing special, it only takes a minute to scan the place, and home runs can be had. Even now, I look into my living room and see my first pro-quality trombone, which I bought at a pawn shop in 1975 - still a player, and got me launched in my first few years of professional playing.
Congrats! In related "nice price" MIM P news, I picked up this midnight wine P bass off of CL Los Angeles two weeks ago for $200. Anyone besides me notice a general trending downward of bass prices on the used market?
