Finish is first rate. Not a sharp fret end on it. Looks like Wilkinson hardware all around which I’m guessing is MIC. Controls all check out with smooth operation and no crackling or static. Neck is thin and feels great though I’d rather have a satin finish on the back of the neck than the gloss finish. Worth every penny or shilling Can you pick out my special request item? Think Fender MIA GL and you should be able to figure it out Thanks Steve @chowny ! Now to lock myself in the house and woodshed all day!!!!!
Congratulations. This bass looks great with the block inlays. I like Wilkinson hardware - in particular the bridge. Good looking and very reliable. I would appreciate if you could post some sound files. Really curious to hear this beauty. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your new instrument.
White inlays? Definitely would love to hear more about these, been interested for a while. As for the neck, just sand that bugger down a bit.
White inlays? Got it! I'm not a fan of black blocks and I really like this. Similar to the Geddy Lee MIA Jazz. just sand that bugger down a bit I just can't do that. If I was a gigging bassist maybe...but I'm just a bedroom bassist and I just can't do that. I don't look at basses as tools like real bassists do. Even if I ever get to a decent level to do the weekend warrior thing I still think I couldn't do it. Yeah, I'm weird.
Don't have to sand it down hard. Scuff it up with a green kitchen scrubber, will satin-ize it nicely. And will gloss back up as you play it.
