There was an article on him in BP magazine a while ago, he uses the neck toaster almost exclusively. I've seen a few videos of him where if you closed your eyes you'd think it was an upright, he is a wicked player.

I'm a confirmed flats player so no worries there. The DTFs I put on yesterday feel just right.

  3. Amazing bass! Congrats!

BTW, I may be mistaken but, if my memory serves me well, Geezer Butler played a fretless Rick on Never Say Die's Johnny Blade.

And they look good together, which is just as important.

It's a THD BiValve, quite an interesting amp as you can reconfigure it with different power and preamp tubes. Old-tech amp modelling :)

This test has been temporarily postponed due to an interfacing incompatibility.

Most Rick fretless basses have bound bodies and necks and feature the twin outputs. The only fretless models placed on price sheets and catalogs have been 4001FL and 4003FL. But in researching for the book, I found fretless 3001, 4000, 4001S, 4002, 4003S, and 4003S/5, and photos are in the book. Still haven't come across a factory fretless 4004 or 4005.
