    How would you say this bass compares soundwise to a p-bass? If you solo the neck pickup is it the same sound?

  5. Sorry for the late reply! Both pickups are Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounders, and the P is reversed, so it sounds a bit more aggressive than a classic Precision with the tone all the way up. If you roll the tone off, it sounds exactly like my Precision with D'Addario Chromes flats (except for roundwound-specific string noises).

    I'm a fairly new owner of as US NS-2 BO (EMG's with HAZ pre) and only play with the split P solo'd. Absolutely kills. Not the traditional P tone IMHO. Much brighter with way more punch. Perfect!
