Got myself an early birthday present. I played one of these pre-COVID at GC and was blown away despite not being a vintage bass person, but I couldn't say no to the shell pink. Oh, and I already played plenty of Radiohead on this poor thing. Shoutout to @Lownote38 for advising on some maintenance tips as this one was a bit of doozy to get set up.
God damnit. Literally went directly to GC website to IMMEDIATELY purchase a shell pink Vintera. I decided today I must have a shell pink precision.
I thought it is factory new colour.... Fender Vintera '50s Precision Bass | Siggers' Basses | Reverb Happy new used bass day.
Oops? I was under the impression that the Vintera P's anodized guard came pre-drilled for the cover and tugbar.
Not sure what that second hole is! I noticed on Reverb that some where pre-drilled and some where not...hmmm.
Most Vintera pick guards are not drilled, while when it was named "Classic Series" these always had the pickup cover and the finger rest holes drilled. That one looks like it didn't have the holes, and someone screwed it up trying to drill the holes themselves. Better to just buy a new pick guard from Fender that already has the holes!
I love that color! And you will love that Bass! I've been playing the hell out of my Dakota Red Vintera since I picked it up last year. John
Why?...because of one hole?....I guess you guys are more particular about things than I am...play it...use it ....personalize it and love it
