I thought this pic looked really cool, so I made it my avatar.
Love my SB2 Trib. Here is a video.
Just recently bought a second one. They are so cool.
thanks for the advice!
Sounds great man. I really like the finish of your Sb-2
By the way, if you are not enormed with the sound of your SB 2, you can do the tone mod. It really improves the versatility of these beasts. And it costs about $25. Plus you gain a volume knob, so it is a win-win situation.
I find it makes a HUGE difference. Especially if this is going to be your go to bass.
Thanks, I might do that. Once I get it and play around with it I will decide for sure.
Cool. My red Sparkle fretless SB-2 is on it's way to me now.
post a pic! i'd love to see red sparkle.
Likely not even within 1000 miles of me yet, but here are a couple from the seller. I think it looks cool. Something different for me as I tend to own black, sunburst, natural wood, etc.
I was too. Nice catch!
The blue SB-2 I really want has a bound fretboard & matching headstock. Always keeping an eye out for that one!
i am with you about the colors of my basses. i usually own the same colors. i'm pretty stoked about finding a blue one, as i've never seen a blue one like that.
sounds sweet! i'm not big on blocked necks though.
Just curious. The title of the thread begins with NBD. I checked a few websites that list the meanings of acronyms, and the two that make the most sense here are No Big Deal, and Nervous Breakdown.
Since this bass IS a big deal, I'm guessing the Nervous Breakdown is the intended meaning. Hopefully, sanity is restored when the bass arrives!
I guess it could be nervous breakdown if something bad happened to it!
NBD=New Bass Day
Very nice. I dig G & Ls...
See that's the thing -- it's not a blocked neck... just bound with dots.
like this one:
you can see the binding better here:
Yours is super sweet and congrats!
Ahh, I do like that. I misunderstood your original post. I must admit though, I like a nonmatching headstock, it looks classy to me.
