I miss mine. Still think of picking up one to replace the one I sold. Good score.

What strings do you have on it? Do you think it's worth replacing the pickups for Bartolini or the preamp?

  7. I love light gauge SS strings on mine. I actually like the stock pickups but YMMV.

Is it a bubinga body or ovankol?

  9. You know it’s funny you say that.

I have a 18v Bartolini pre amp in mine, and to be honest if I could go back I wouldn’t have changed it. Even with both pre amps set flat, I lost a little bit of the signature Warwick sound. Just a little. It was a lateral move, not a improvement

Yikes, I don't want to loose that, did you change the pickups as well?

  11. No. Those active Mec pickups are pretty good.

Also I use dr sunbeam strings

+1 on MEC pickups. I've always been impressed when I hear them... which has only been in Warwicks... but yeah, nice stuff.

Could someone compare the thumb neck to a corvette? I had a corvette, but the neck was just too fat for me. Fatigue would set in around 20 minutes. I love the look of the thumbs, but have never been able to try one.

Somone correct me if I'm wrong please, from my understanding it depends on the year as to what profile it has, example my thumb has a U but most others have a C profile, on top of that I believe it also depends on the year as to the thickness of the neck.

  15. 1999 and before they were thin; they got thick from 2000-2006, then went thin around 08 again
