New to me anyways... Been wanting to get a fretted working bass to start leaving my Warwick in the studio. Couldn't let this deal pass! {}
2011 MIM FSR P Bass deluxe special (or something like that lol). High mass bridge I believe. Noiseless bridge pick up. Everything stock... I may eventually switch to Aguilar pickups but going to leave it as is for now. I mostly play passive but really digging the sound I can get out of this.
She's a beauty. I am curious what the fretboard is like though. Could just be the picture but it looks like the finish is fading/thinning in random areas. Is that right?
^ mint.... Hotel room lights are reflecting on the fretboard... Yup, I brought her to a hotel last night... My wife is home!
Glad to hear it's just lights. Loving that seafoam green teamed with the white/black edged pick guard.
There are parts of the guard that look slightly yellowish. I also cleaned the bridge... I'm thinking the previous owner was a smoker.
Nice. It looks like the neck is bound in black...is that really a stock neck? I've never seen anything like that from Fender.
It is. It was an FSR. I think I read it is the same neck as a Gedy Lee Jazz when it switched to MIM which are also bound in black.
