  1. I decided three Gibson's was 1 too many so I traded my Gibson Flying V and my 4401 for this 2015 Fender American Deluxe Jazz. This is my second stab at a Jazz. My first was an American Special. It had a dead spot around the 7th Fret A string. The Deluxe has a string retainer on the A and this seems to help with this problem. I love the tone both active and passive. In active it is a deeper roar than my Skyline. I loved the Tone of the Flying V which was basically a T-bird but I played it the least, so another Fender.

Looks like a beautiful jazz, but, seems like quite an off balance trade if you ask me.

I love the black blocks on the deluxe neck. Great bass.
