If anyone can share any info, that’d be great.

Controls are Volume/Blend/Bass/Treble. The bridge is insane.

    32” scale.

I’ve been having trouble intonating it with the long scale strings I had laying around. I didn’t think that would be a problem! I have some medium scale Chromes coming from Amazon this week. Hopefully this fixes the intonation issues.

  2. Closest thing to a Floyd Rose bridge I've ever seen on a bass guitar, wild!

Congrats! Ive been looking for one of those!!!!! ...Question: Are any of the pots push/pull or push-switchable for single coil mode? My Yamaha BX-5 has those pickups and a push-switchable tone control to engage single-coil mode...the single-coil mode of those pickups gives finger playing a very sharp focused attack approaching that of a pick...this bass is the main reason why Im interested in the Motion B

  6. Aria had fine tuners like that on their ZZ Deluxe bass, pointy Explorer style bass, in the mid 80’s IIRC.

  7. I remember a long time ago, my local music store urging me to check out a Yamaha product demonstration show. The Motion B was the bass being featured at the time and it was quite impressive.

Came across a used one a few years back and really liked it. I just couldn't get past the headstock for some stupid reason.

    Canada, Eh!
Long-scale strings shouldn't necessarily be any problem, as long as the silks are not impinging on saddles... are they recycled strings? Maybe witness point issues?

PS: if it wasn't for CITES, I would have bought a couple of those last year :)

  12. Looks to be in pretty good shape - congrats!

Yeah, I was literally scratching my head about that headstock photo when I read your reply— glad I’m not alone. If the bridge was somewhat normal, I’d probably be way more into this thing.. seems interesting though.

Yeah, it's like they were aiming for the middle ground between a full size headstock and a headless bass, but they also mixed in some DNA from spear or something. I like it!

  16. You wouldn't happen to be from Nova Scotia would you EEE? Saw the identical bass for sale around Halifax on my local Kijiji this week and it's gone now lol Cool find, I've owned a couple of Yamaha's and they were great. Interesting bridge and angled head. Enjoy your new bass

    Nice bass!

I always though fine-tuners on a bridge were to match a locking nut or locking tuners?
