Picked up a Sterling SUB 4 Stingray yesterday at the local GC. I wasnt really looking to buy a bass, but the tobacco sunburst and matte finish really caught my eye. It has some nice birdseye maple in the neck as well. I took it home tore it apart, shimmed the neck and tossed on some new strings and I must say, it really nailes the Stingray tone. A great player, and dead quiet.

Nice, I tried a sub 5 a few months ago and it sounded very close to the EBMM SR5. I have a 4 and 5 string EBMM stingrays and I want to get Sterling by MM 5 string as a second MM fiver.
