    Got a new to me 2011 MIM Fender p bass today!!! I've been looking for a p bass for a while cause I decided to retire my Peavey Fury as I'm giving it to my grandson. The Peavey was my wife's dads and needs to stay in the family. Only a couple stores in my area are Fender dealers and they are high on everything. walked into my favorite store today and there it was. I walked straight to it loooked it over and only found one small blemish. plugged it in and fell in love. This is the best feeling/playing p bass I've ever played!!! I'ts a sunburst with a tort shell pick guard, has SD Basslines pickups, and a BABICZ bridge. I played this thing about an hour and bought it. I'ts one of those basses I just didn't want to put down. I gave $400 for and think I got a pretty sweet deal. What you guys think?

    Fender or Fodera, if you got a bass that makes the sound you hear in your head, you got a good deal.

    Nice score. I think you did good, especially with the upgrades you mentioned, and that the bass speaks to you.

    I like MIM Fenders in general, and have a few very nice ones. Like you, I took a chance on a MIM P bass for $400 because the seller had a buncha upgrades on it, including a EMG Px pickup that I was interested in. Turns out, it's a terrific 8.5 lb bass. I feel like I stole it.
