    Hey all:

Finished my little customization with a 2012 Mystic Red P Bass.

Fender White Pearl vs. White Pickguard
    Signature chrome thumbrest

    Great looking bass!

Red looks great with a maple fretboard.

I dig pearloid pickguards (my Jazz has one) but I prefer the thumbrest in the "classic" Fender spot, even knowing that down there it is everything but not a thumbrest :D In fact, I like those thug bars just for looks alone.

    I dig IT.

I've been checking the new colors out and really like the mystic red.

I prefer the white pearl over white any day.

Yeah, I mean that '60s thumbrest position, the one that you can't actually rest your thumb on :D

My P is lacking that, I've got the pickup and bridge covers on, but no thumbrest...

    Congrats!
Of course I think it looks great. Added the white pearl pg to my new Candy Cola/Maple P5 last month.
Would like to see the two side by side to see the difference between Candy Cola and Mystic Red. I'm sure it's not much, but I'm thinking the Candy Cola is darker. Mine can look as dark as maroon, but when the light hits the metalic in it, it can really shine bright.

  10. I saw a Mystic Blue Strat the other day. I'm not big on blue guitars, but it was very nice, a bit like EB's Blue Dawn, though not as sparkly.
