    $60 CRAIGSLIST FIND !

    MIT YAMAHA BB300

Killer "workhorse" gigging basses. I got it to "flip", but who knows...I might just have to keep it !!! Digging the C.A.R.

Sucky pic, but you'll get the idea. Gonna clean it up, restring it, and do a setup tomorrow morning.

    Awesome find!

    How's the tone? I'm guessing it's something similar to a P Bass.

Similar, but the reversed P pickup changes the tone a bit. Nice fundamental bass tone.

  7. my first bass was a BB200

These are great sounding and playing basses, good find! There's one of these (same color too) at my regular Thursday night gig, someone left it there about five years ago, it's always around as a "house instrument". I've used it a couple times over the years. Really LOUD.
    Good find!

Those BBs kill. Totally killer for a sub-$200 bass. They are great beyond belief.

From what I see on the one here, the only thing I'd change would be the tuners, kind of sloppy, but they do work. And man does it need STRINGS!

Yeah, this one definitely needs a "tune up and restring" as well. :)

  15. I would love one of those basses. They come up on CL every once in a while here for $200 or so. I can't justify that, but $60 I could swing. I love the reverse P tone.

    They're a STEAL at $200...at $60 they're a "no brainer".

    :)

Just got done cleaning this one up. I need to get a new set of Chromes for it tomorrow and then set it up. Maybe I'll use it for tomorrows rehearsal. :)
