@agent19 sent this to me and it arrived today. After a few hours of acclimatization . . . Er rather a minute to get it outta my vehicle (I tracked down the UPS truck before it got to my neighborhood), I fired it up with one of my Mesa Subway heads. Works fine! I've been looking for one of these because I figured that it would pair nicely with the Two10S which I've had for a few years (also acquired here), vertically stacked. I have several heads which are stable down to two ohms, and several which are 4 ohm stable, which leads me to a question for the more technically educated members: If I have both cabinets set to 4 Ohms, I'll be supplying the head with a 2 Ohm load, and if both cabs are set to 12 Ohms, I'm under the assumption that they would combine for 6 Ohms of resistance, but what would the Ohmage be if one were set at 4 and one at 12? I realize that there would be a differential of power supplied to each cab, and I don't anticipate this eventuality, but I'm curious, nonetheless. The unboxing (great packaging, by the way):
1 divided by 4 = .250 1 divided by 12 = 0.0833333 add .250 to 0.083333 you get .333333 1 divided by .3333333 = 3Ω Give a man a fish, teach a man to fish, all that jazz. Nice cab.
Super, but upon recommendation of @alexclaber himself, I've taken to horizontal stacking whenever possible and it sounds even better.
