I just took delivery on a Genz Benz 410 Uber from a member here. Four ohm, tweeter with attenuator, and bottom rectangular ports like my fEARful 15/6 Tube. Now I know why 410s are so popular! I would describe it as 'sporty'. Plenty of low end, but the increased transient response gives it a zippy presentation with lots of punch. I have been running the tweet at approx 30%. This is my first cab with a compression driver/horn tweet instead of a paper cone mid, but so far, so good.
I tried my Ric with both of my heads, a Demeter VTBPM800D, and an Orange TB1000H. The Demeter is 500w into 8ohms, 800w into 4ohms. The Orange is 1000w into 8 or 4ohms. With my Demeter, I wanted to unlock its potential by running it into a 4ohm cab, and have multiple drivers to boot. So with the Demeter, the 410 seems to be a hair louder than my fEARful by a tiny bit, but my fEARful does go much lower. Even though the 410 is rated for 1000w, I also feel I really have to keep an eye on things and make good use of my FDeck variable HPF3, and make sure not to overpower the 410 with too much bass. With the Orange, the 410 worked just as well with the Orange grind comming across great, but I couldn't really crank the Orange wide open. My fEARful could take it all and then some without breaking into a sweat.
All in all, it's a great cab, robust build with 3/4" plywood. Weighs in at 70lbs, about 10 more than my fEARful. It's about the same size as my fEARful, but with its tiltback wheels, rear center handle, and skid rails, I'm hoping for an easier schlep. Probably takes almost as much power as one might ever need (if you're careful), but with my fEARful 15/6, it's always open season. For a one cab solution/one cab does it all, I'd still have to give the blue ribbon to my fEARful. It's still the leader in low end, and that 18 Sound mid is a real slayer. Hopefully that helps for those comparing cabs.
