Although I bought the second Hartke 210XL back in October, I was finally able to open it for Christmas. To the TB member who said I couldn't hold out.....I did it. I've never had 2 cabs before, therefore I've never had a stack before. How stable are they? I have 2 dogs and I'm concerned about the top cab tumbling onto one of them. Is that an irrational thought or just being cautious?

    The TRBX305 + Carvin BX250 + 2x Hartke 210XL = fabulous!

That's what I'm doing next, adding the second cab, that looks awesome!

I was thinking about stability too, I wonder if a ratchet tie-down strap around the whole thing would work?

  5. If you want to be really cautious then unstack them when they are not in use. In my opinion you really don't need to stack them at home anyway. That is, assuming you do not need to cover a large space at home. I know I wouldn't bother to.

I purchased it with the intension that it would be my Christmas gift to be opened on Christmas. So I knew I would be waiting.

Certainly I don't need the power of a stack in my living room but stacking them there against the wall actually saves me space. So stacking would be more for convenience.

Thank you and congrats on your willpower. Those stacks are pretty stable unless you have two large breeds that like to rough house and jump on everything.

they seem well tucked into your bookshelves/furniture.....I'd be more worried about that bass getting knocked over than the cabs

Just posted a day-time picture. Yeah, the cabs are nicely tucked between a cabinet and a chest of drawers with a TV on it. I still worry that a sleeping dog will some how nudge it. Soooooo, I'll be unstacking when we're not home. I love my furry creatures too much to take a chance. Oh....and I always put my basses back on the 7 guitar rack in our office before we leave. So the bass won't be sitting in front of the stack unless I'm home.

  12. Those corners lock together nicely. I wouldn't worry about it. 'Course if you're really concerned, get two 410s. More surface area to be stable.

    Yeah, I'm an enabler.

I think I may just put a kitchen chair up against the cabs when I leave the house. Stacking and unstacking isn't really a practical solution

I put a chair in front of the cabs before I left the house to see a movie today. I came back.......and the cabs.....were right where I left them. :) Hopefully that will be a pattern that continues.
