On it's own the BC208 sounds great. Very articulate, with a nice round bottom. I think the TE 2X8 has a little more low end, but I will need more time to make that decision. Together? They sound awesome! I have a gig tonight, so I will bring this rig to play with my cover trio (Guitar, Bass & Drums) at a small/medium club without FOH support. I'll report back later.
They sound pretty comparable in my livingroom. I will have them stacked at the gig tonight. The BC208 is about and inch shorter back to front so not sure I'll be stacking it on the bottom.
What's your 5-string in the gig photo? Looks like a Sadowsky. [QUOTE="jlepre, post: 22760889, member: 103148 I have a gig tonight, so I will bring this rig to play with my cover trio (Guitar, Bass & Drums) at a small/medium club without FOH support. I'll report back later. [/QUOTE]
That’s awesome! What kind of music does your trio play, how’d it sound, get any audio clips, yada, yada, ...?
I got the Elf head and cab used for a great deal. I will keep the Elf pair either way....but they sound very good together. My usual rig is my MG800 with my Fearless F112. My band mates said they heard me a little better actually.
The cabs together complimented quite well. The Elf cab has a little.bit more bottom end, whereas the TC has a more.mid punch.
