I dropped off my bass for a setup the other day and the tech called me today. He said he loosened the truss rod all the way (to the point where it wouldn't rattle) and there's still not enough relief even after the strings have been on for a while.

Is there anything that could help counteract the neck's pulling back enough to get it back to normal? Like heavier gauge strings for a couple months or ...something?

It's a super skinny Ibanez neck, by the way. Live and learn... :meh:

So it was adjusted yesterday, right?
It can take some time to adjust, you can use heavier strings to add to it.

i had a HAMER SLAMMER that had the same issue,i was told to either get a new neck or put some really heavy strings on it and try to staighten it out a little at a time, you could even put a fulcrom at the 20 th frett to put more pressure on the neck to make it arc forward,i had dozens of "bassists" tell me options but these two were the best ones.:D
