Neck pocket/neck attachment question

I have a Jazz copy body and a neck that I'm going to put on it. The holes in the pocket for the neck attachment screws are not drilled perfectly straight. They start out fine at the back of the body, but they angle somewhat as they come out thru the pocket. Should I enlarge/dowel the holes and drill new ones through the dowels?

As long as the neck goes on tight, I see no reason to mess with it.

If you are handy, I recommend that you dowel and re-drill the holes having the screws at an angle will put unnecessary strain on them and it also may prevent the neck from making good contact with the body.
