I'm putting together a parts P-bass, just to have for random abuse. :D
The neck heel width is 2-7/16", which Allparts states as standard.
The pocket width is 2-1/2", which Warmoth states as standard.
The subsequent 1/16" gap means that there's no friction to hold the two pieces together. Do I
    1. A. Use veneer to reduce the pocket size
    2. B. Use veneer to increase heel width
    3. C. Bolt it up and don't worry about it

I thought that with Fender setting the standard all third party vendors would be adhering to the same measurements.

I don't think I'd stress over a 1/16", center the neck in the body and the difference is split to 1/32".

It is a bummer that the Allparts neck can't be to Fenders specs though there's probably some awesome reason for the tolerance difference.

Alright, as TB is a highly opinionated forum, I can't be placated with a single response!!!

Everyone likes showing off how tight their neck/body joins are without screws, so this is what makes me think I need to somehow follow suit.
