Just wondering, Can someone tell me what the diference would be between a bass neck with a 500 radius and a bass neck with a 1000 radus? Just wondering.. Thanks:)

  2. I've always heard fret/fingerboard radius as measured in inches, usually between 12" & 20" or so; I'm assuming you mean 500/1,000 milimeters. A lower number will mean the curve of the finger/fretboard will be tighter & a higher number will mean the curve will be broader or flatter. I'm probably not explaining it too well; try a search under radius.

Keep in mind the fretboard is curved. Imagine the curve goes in a big circle all the way around. The diameter of that circle is the neck radius.

In other words, a bigger number radius will have a flatter board, and a smaller number will have more of a curve to it.
