i was planning on a getting a stack but decided that all that wouldnt be needed, so i need a loud but clean combo (for slap and fingerstyle). i have about 1000 (canadian) to play with....i think the Trace Elliot 7210 fits in that price range...any comments on that model??

take any other suggestions you may have

Would you be interested in a GK MB15E-III/112?

i was looking for a 2x10, because i have a 1x12 that i never liked from the start, and a 1x15, that doesnt sound as good as the 1x10's ive played.

Look long and hard for an Eden Metro. Keep your eyes open also for the BAM from Peavey.

Gallien-Krueger RB 400 210. More clarity and hifi than Ampeg, less hifi than SWR.
  8. Fender Bassman 400 pro's are pretty nice.

I second the Peavey BAM, excellent amplifier and very versatile! Also, if you play a 4 string I'd recommend a GK amp as well, they're excellent for 4 stringers!
