Can anyone recommend a 410 amp around the $600 mark (preferably 200W or more)?
My band's gonna kill me if I don't upgrade from my (ahem...) trusty 30 watt laney.

do you mean a 410 combo (speakers and amp together in one box) or do you just nead speakers? or do you need just an amp (no speakers)??

HOW MUCH CAN YOU SPEND USD?

Well, there is a 410 Nemesis combo amp. I owned it and I feel it is very good for the price. I don't know if these can be found in the UK, though.

I would avoid a 410 combo. You could get a decent 410 cab used and compliment it with a nice head, all for less than $800

I agree get a separate head and cabinet. good for when you decide to upgrade speakers or amp

Try to avoid just getting an "ok" cab, and an "ok" head. Try to get one that is better than the other. Go for used all the way...
Here's some good stuff on ebay:

Sorry if that's way too much. I actually just started to browse, and thought what the hell? I think you would be good off with an Avatar. Never played one (yet), but some people here swear by them... http://www.avatarspeakers.com
    good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers guys, I'm probably gonna go for a new avatar 410 cab and a used head. Not sure what yet though, any more suggestions welcome

  12. buy me- swr 2m-500

a swr sm-500 + avatar speakers must be a very decent sounding unit. However, this one happens to be in Nashville so I don't know about shipping over to GB, but if you could find a used swr sm-500 or 550x you would be well off and if the right price range.

    EBS makes some great stuff.

Ashdown combos or seperates (ABM if you can swing it, MAG 2nd choice, ElectricBlue 3rd).

There's always Peavey stuff (well, they are reliable).

2nd hand if you can find 'em.

Avatars are not available in UK last I heard.

  14. Also trace elliot. But do try it first!
