Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

    Note that TalkBass will host unlimited attachments for you, all the time, for free ;)  Just hit that "Upload a File" button.  You are also free to use our Media Gallery if you want a place to create albums, organize photos, etc :)

Need a Pro - Defret

    I've found my bass and my sound. No need to look anymore. Ibanez BTB. It just works for me. I alreay own several models and am happy with them all. Yet, I still want what I can't have. A fretless BTB. Ibanez does not make. I'm not a luthier, don't have any desire at all to do this myself. I need a pro. I want a pro job. Just bought a btb 5er and Would love to have defretted and a new nut to string with a high c intead of the traditional low b. So what do you think? can anyone recomend someone?

  3. And you dont need a new nut, The string wont vibrate enough at the nut for it to be noticable.
