I have a bootleg of someone pretty famous playing it (I won't name because I shouldn't really have it, but if you want a copy of a fantastic performance, send me a message.

Jordan Anderson (principal bass, Seattle Symphony) just performed it here in Seattle on Sunday. I'd never heard of David Anderson before, but I liked the two D.A. capriccios that J.A. played.

There's no relation between the two of them.

Can someone tell me the publisher of these pieces?

I actually contacted Dave Anderson directly and he lost both of his recordings in Katrina, so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

FYI- the publisher used to be "BASSIS" and I used to get stuff direct from Hal, but now I think its all at Robertsons.

Sybarite, Why do you recording ? The music is not ( dont misunderstand me, as I am presently getting this work up to par.) so difficult that you couldn't figure out a decent interpretation .

Listening to recordings as a reference can be a crutch.

But of course maybe I am not muniding my own beeswax.

I'm not looking for a crutch, I've just been playing these for years and I'm
just trying get some fresh ideas on a couple of sections.
(Mostly on where people like to take time during the a piacere sections and the last decending (f cresc. to ff) run towards the end. )

We often play for others to get ideas (teachers, collegues, & masterclasses etc.) Why not explore all sources?
