So i have been surfin' the net tryin' to figure out the best replacement neck i could get for my squier j (stripped truss rod) without breaking the bank. So far i have found mighty mite, and stew mac. Warmoth would be nice yeah but way out of my budget. What other brands would be worth checking out, and which would be better MM or stew mac?

  2. Check rondomusic.com you might be able to fit one of those 45 dollar block necks onto it with a little tweeking. not 100% sure dimensions might be close enough.:)

Rondo is dry on necks for the moment. Your best bet is probably Mighty Mite, they're pretty good, probably better than the Squier neck and can be had for just under 100 bucks on eBay. Or spend that $100 and buy a whole new SX bass and part the rest of the Squier, I bet you'd almost break even on money and have a new bass!
