Ok so, I´ve come to the point where think about buying a new bass.
I play mostly funk, rock, and jazz.

I have two basses in my mind, but I cant deside between them.

    MusicMan SUB 4 string
    Yamaha TRB1006 6-string

Yeah, they´re totally different basses but as the price is nearly the same (both under 1000e) and they´re both quality instruments, I´d like to hear your opinion about these.
I am more to the SUB, but the TRB also caught my eye and now I cant decide :meh:

so, any help is appreciated :)

Hmm. Well, personally I would play a TRB anyday over a SUB, I just played a new TRB1005 fretless the other day and was very impressed by fit/finish/tone/playability - with the exception of the cheezy "figured maple" paper thin laminate. Oh, the string spacing was still quite wide, probably not less than 18mm.

Have you played either bass? IMO the TRB will be a little more versatile tonally, although if you like the MM sound the SUB should suffice.

As a matter of fact, I´ve only tested the SUB.

As you said too, I´ve been thinking about the tonal versatility of the TRB over the SUB. I would ust like to test the TRB somewhere.
