Need Advice

    Hey all, thanks for taking the time to read this.
    Ok. Ill start at the begining. I play for a worship band on tues sat and sundays. My problem is on our stage, the bass gets trapped inside and sends it BOOMing out into the crowd. So I have been dealing with the worst possible EQ: no lows some mids and all highs(I know, but its the only way it doesn't overtake everything else). I have decided to spend the money on a new bass and amp and I am prepared for the cost. What I need to know is what a good amp and guitar setup for a for a deep punch without the volume. The Ampeg Im using now has no punch and amlost swells. You really cant tell the distinction between notes. So far I've been told Hartke will give me what Im looking for. Any thoughts will be a great help. Thanks.

    I think you'd be better posting this in amps.

    That said, the Hartke VX that I played once had insane punch at low volume.

    Also, maybe try a smaller speaker size than what you're using now (I'm guessing a 15?)
