Now honestly has anyone played a Carlo Robelli 4 string? is it me or does it sound horrid?
some of them sound crappy some sound DECENT but none sound good,i found out from an employee of the company that Sam Ash now owns Carlo Robelli.and since taking the company over they have been cutting cornrers(more so than the original owners to help with the purchasing costs). i played a frett-less C.R. the other day,it was only 189.00$,and for the price i could find a few brands far worse than this one.
I can only speak for there ABG's I never tried one of there solid body Basses, but with any, one can sound better than the next, the price is nice.
I only paid $179 for my ABG'S I had one of them De-Fretted for $60 and made myself a nice sounding Fretless ABG. I have had them since 1998
and have had no problems at all.
