Okay, so I've been looking at moving up in the wattage world. I've been looking at getting a Gallien Krueger Mb200 with one of the Gallien Kruger 400 watt cabs. Any thoughts?

Get a TC Electronic BG 250. It is 1x15 and a tweeter and 250 watts and it goes louder than you'll ever need. It also is a good price

Nice as the BG250 is, it does not compare to a good head/cab rig, which is capable of more volume with the additional spkrs.

  5. The advice usually given on this forum is minimum 300 watts if you're going to be competing with a drum kit. I've read a lot of good things about the MB200 so the amp will be solid but may not be enough if your going toe-to-toe with a loud drummer. The GK cab for sure but maybe go up to the MB500 for the additional headroom.

  6. Which cab? MB200 with a Neo112 would be a nice low volume rig. MB200 with the Neo810 would be significanly louder.
