Okay, so I've been looking at moving up in the wattage world. I've been looking at getting a Gallien Krueger Mb200 with one of the Gallien Kruger 400 watt cabs. Any thoughts?
Get a TC Electronic BG 250. It is 1x15 and a tweeter and 250 watts and it goes louder than you'll ever need. It also is a good price
Nice as the BG250 is, it does not compare to a good head/cab rig, which is capable of more volume with the additional spkrs.
The advice usually given on this forum is minimum 300 watts if you're going to be competing with a drum kit. I've read a lot of good things about the MB200 so the amp will be solid but may not be enough if your going toe-to-toe with a loud drummer. The GK cab for sure but maybe go up to the MB500 for the additional headroom.
Which cab? MB200 with a Neo112 would be a nice low volume rig. MB200 with the Neo810 would be significanly louder.
