I have my new SE-50 up and running. It's truly versatile but I've found the majority of presets are inappropriate for bass. I would like to rewrite at least 10 of these patches so they are "bass-friendly". There are a handful of sites which offer downloads but, alas, I lack the necessary hardware. If you have a favorite patch (or more), please share them with me....in longhand, of course! Your time and energy is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I have been using an SE-50 forever (well, 10 years at least :p ), but my patches probably won't suit you. Part of the fun of having one of these units is in designing your own sounds that are tailored to your style & taste. Do you have some sort of midi footcontroller for it? If not, do yourself a favor and get one...

Haven't you downloaded the Reverb & Guitar FX Files yet?
The Guitar .syx files are a good starting point to developing
Bass Programs for the SE 50. Just tweaking the EQ and Master Volume to suit.

I really can't send you any of the Bass programs
    I've developed until you get a midi I/O to Soundcard Game Port;
You can get one for about $15 or less.

You can use SendSX.exe to dump programs to save to the computer and load saved programs.

SendSX.exe is a simple, free program that is recommended by the Boss Users Group. It will automatically recognize your soundcard.

You can download SendSX 1.21 here

These two Bass Programs are more of a specialty.

This one has the Bass Phaser Effect as heard on
    Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold."

    title- StrangleHold

    RHODES

    EQ+PH+**+**+RV
    LOW EQ +3
    MID FREQ 400Hz
    MID EQ +4
    HIGH EQ 0
    LP FILTER 2kHz
    EQ LEVEL +2
    PHASER RATE 60
    PHASER DEPTH 40
    MAUAL 50
    RESONANCE 0
    N. SUPPRESSOR THRESHOLD 0
    RELEASE 0
    LEVEL 100
    REV TIME 2.5s
    PRE DELAY 20 ms
    LP FILTER 8kHz
    REVERB LEVEL 25
    MASTER LEVEL 100

    ----------------------------------------------

This Program must be used MONO & MONO (Left In/Left Out),
it tricks the Stereo DSP for an interesting 'Palm Muting' effect.

Thanks, gang.....especially FB! I'm resigned to using my laptop (pos Compaq) until I get my tower straightened out, so the additional components / hardware are not practical at this time. Sorry for the imposition but your efforts will not be wasted! I have more than a handful of corrupted drivers which are being addressed by my brother (he's the smart one):

    www.unterzuber.com

My guitarist lent me his Ground Control MIDI pedal; a copy of the manual is on it's way from Voodoo Labs. She's more than what I need but what the heck. If I'm correct, I should be able to program the SE-50 with my tootsies. I'll be happy if I can get the durn thing to scroll.
