Hello,
my first Bass tinker job in front of me. The pickups are installed, the cavity is open, now the wiring.
so, its: Nordstrand Big Blades* into the Ibanez ehb1005sms (*the matching ones/P4 )
(the wiring sheme looks clear.........)
first of all:
can i destroy anything vs. my pickups ?
i ask for security. ( i solder, assoon i have a ok from you to go ! the iron is hot......my feet is taping, hehe / as far i understand can i NOT destroy anything, and i even could solder the pups in in reverse. black vs, white cable)
otherwise does it looks all clear i´d say.
The original Barts had a black and white wire, the Nords have same.
Both pups go to the blend knob. So, no problem in understanding the wiring sheme.
Whats unclear is the grey wire of the Nords!
i´m not native english, the wording on that small piece of paper with instructions is a bit confusing for me.
The ibby1005 is active. .....Is this the same as what they refer to as "buffered" ?
from that wording, i see two spots where the grey wire "could" go:
together with the black wire to the according spot. (guess thats for a passiv bass)
or the "common ground"....at the sleeve of the jack ( guess thats for a active bass and what i have to do ?)
