The pickups in my '74 P are starting to kick the bucket, and it need to find something new before I head out on tour this summer. I want the bass to sound as close to how good it did when the pickups were still working well and have narrowed it down to a few choices that should get the job done.

    Options as of now are:

    Lindy Fralin
Seymour Duncan Antiquity (I or II?)
    Lollar

I know that a lot of people are going to say that any of them are good choices but I would really like to hear the pickups before I make a final decision. If anyone has sound clips or a video of them using any of the pickups listed above, or any other recommendations for getting a good "punk rock" tone (i.e. something hotter or punchier), it would be greatly appreciated.

    The bass in question:
    DSC_1662.

  2. THAT is a beautiful bass. I would go with an SD 1/4 POUNDER.
    Passive, loud, and raw.
