    I just recently purchased my first cab and head a few months ago and I am not sure how to go about cnnecting effects to it. Here are some Pics of the different ports I have to plug into.

    First off, congrats and welcome to the bass playin' world! :bassist:

    As far as connections go, I have all my pedals in a "loop" controlled on/off by a Loooper I had made for me. That way I can still plug straight into the front of my amp w/out any noise or signal loss by going through the pedals (until I activate them, at least).

    For you, if you just have a few go:
    Bass --> FX --> Input

    If you want to have a more clear sound from your bass, and only active your FX when necessary, go:
    FX Send --> FX --> FX Return

    Typically you use distortion/overdriven sounds and compression going straight into the front, as they sound better, and modulation effects (phaser, flanger, delay, chorus) through the FX loop.
    PM me if you have any other specific questions. Hope this helps out.
