I know pratically nothing on Amps. I have a rubbish one now which was designed for guitars and sounds tingy and fuzzy. I want a really deep powerful sounding amp. What are the factors I need to consider on getting one, and could anyone advise me on an amp? Thanks.

note. I live in the UK so it has to be avalible there.

It's a pretty vague question. What style of music will you be playing? How many guitars and what amps are they using? How many horns or keys etc in the band? What's the budget? PA support? The air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?

Being in England, I would seuugest you check out the Ashdown line. For a low cost Ashdown check out the Mag 300 head.

It would be for practise and we play rock mostly.

The budget would be around £100
  7. 100?? you cant get anything really good for 100 unless a low quality ashdown amp?

Better get something used. Try Peavey if they are available.
