I was going to buy a Fender mim player series jazz bass and I can't decide what color or fretboard material I should choose. Avaliable colors:

(I'm left handed so there aren't many options)

    The Capri Orange looks good.
    With a maple fretboard it'd be a no-brainer.

  3. I’d select orange if it fit my band and the gigs we play. If it didn’t the sunburst always works for me

I know im an ass for saying this but I'd only get a maple neck player series. White/Maple for me. I would never order Pau Ferro without seeing it first. Fender doesn't give you good Pau Ferro/Rosewood unless you pay for the top models. Pau Ferro on a player series is rolling the dice. Just look at sweetwater for examples. A lot of them have knots, uneven colors, too reddish or light. Thats my biggest complaint of Fender. They have terrible fretboard wood quality compared to everyone else in the price range. With that said the Maple neck is really nice.
