Need help finding my specs

    So I have a set of DiMarzios that were a christmas present, to replace the horrible squier ones I had to begin with. My dad ran across them at guitar center on sale; apparently someone had custom ordered a set and never picked them up. I play a fiver, but they don't appear to be UJ5's. (the smaller magnet is on the wrong side)

    What I'm wondering is if there's any way to get some info on them....I don't know if DiMarzio would be able to help at all as there's no visible serial number on them.

    I can try to explain the sound if you want, but I have an Agathis-bodied bass with half-rounds so I don't know how much good it'll do...

    If that's a pic of the DiMarzios, they are UltraJazz, as the Model Js have adjustable poles.

    I thought they looked like UJ's too, except for the magnet layout, which is opposite of a standard UltraJazz 5. Were the older models different?
