Need Help Identifying This Bass

    I've had this bass for a while given to me from my uncle. Can anyone help me identify anything about it?! Any and all information will help, thank you!!

    musician/artist/owner - Gildaxe
    Fender/Squier was trying different things then, (22 fret neck, non-Fender styling, and finally - a 5 string) before returning to 4 string retro-rehash. Curious pu locations as both look different than a typical P or J. (but maybe it's an illusion) Is it active?

    Fender was trying to garner some of the Ibanez market by creating the HM and MB basses. They also made Squier versions of both basses. I had an MB, it was passive, I'm pretty sure the HM is also passive.

    I believe it is passive, but I am not 100% certain.
