Need help on a band name

Discussion in 'Bass Humor & Gig Stories [BG]' started by Fieldflower, Oct 7, 2005.

  1. Hi all!

I've joined a band that plays only 70's rock.
Mainly covers from: Mountain, Deep Purple, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, Free, Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Santana, etc...

Problem: We don't have a name, and we're having a hard time coming up with good suggestions...

Request: Pleeease help me with some suggestions that would be suitable for the kind of music we play...
I'm all ears for both funny and serious suggestions.

    Give me your best shot.

This is a link to a random band name generator. It's kinda goofy, but in a fun way...

Also, there have been many threads on this topic. Do a search for "band names" and you'll find other resources.

you said 70's music huh? why not combine a lot of 70's acts for the name. call it THE WHO GIBBS A FLYING FUGG BAND.

    i slay me...........ok i'm finished now
  8. My father in law always joked about calling a band "Big White Undies."

My daughter had a Wizard of Oz doll collection, prompting us to come up with a possible band name of "Big Head Dorothy"

My two favorites are "whysguys" (would be great for a philosophy forum) or "wiseguise" (for guys that think they're smart), and "intersects" for group that plays a bunch of different stuff.

But in your case, focusing on 70's ROCK, I'd have to go with "Gibralter"

There will be no fee for this service today; tips are appreciated...
