Hey everyone, I have a Warwick rockbass and it still has the factory strings on it. They are pretty lite and have a metallic kind of sound, especially mids and highs. Im looking for something more mellow from lows all the way to highs evenly. I dont slap or pop much and mostly play rock music where I sometimes need to tune to drop D. Ive never changed the strings before/bought new ones so I dont really know what im doing.

Ive looked around what whats caught my eye so far is Fender Nylons, Blue Steels, and some various nickel roundwounds. Im pretty much looking for a mellow sound and if the nylon gives it a 'different' sound that'd be cool too.

    Thanks for all the help,
