Hello all! I wanted to start recording some jams; so i got the KORG Pandora px5d (It's advertised to be a USB interface) So I finally get the thing and plug it in and install all the drivers. I fire up Audacity, and it doesn't recognise the px5d as an input device. It sees the output from the px5d just fine though. I fire up Ableton Live 8 - same thing I fire up Cubase 5 - same thing Can anyone help me use this thing? anyone have experience working with the px5d? I'm not entirely sure if it's me or the software (I'm pretty sure that it's not the hardware)
When I had one, I just used asio4all because I had trouble getting Korg's drivers to work, but asio4all worked perfectly.
You should have an installation disk that contain the following folders: catalogs Driver KORG_USB_MIDI_Driver... Live Lite Korg edition PX5D_USB_ASIO You want to open and run the Korg USB-ASIO Driver and the Korg USB Midi Driver. Once you do that, the Korg Asio Driver will appear in the audio interface list. It is also worth the effort to set up the Pandora Patch Editor because it gives you an additional Sound Bank for the PX5D
