Hey all, I'm still at a loss of what kind of cabinet to get for my rig. Pre-amp = Ampeg SVP-Pro Power amp = Mackie M1400 The M1400's specs are: 1400 watts @ 4 ohms bridged 1000 watts @ 8 ohms bridged 700 + 700 watts @ 2 ohms stereo 500 + 500 watts @ 4 ohms stereo 300 + 300 watts @ 8 ohms stereo Right now I'm still using my old Peavey combo as a power amp but I wanna start using the Mackie instead. I'm thinking of getting a 4x10 but I have no idea of the wattage, ohms or brand of the cab that I should get nor how to run the amp with it (regular or bridged). I have to compete with 2 guitarists (1 Marshall S9000 & 1 Mesa-Boogie 2-Ninety) and a rather hard hitting drummer and I wouldn't mind having a little power to spare either. We play a sort of heavy rock/metal, think somewhere in between Tool & System of a Down. Oh yeah, and I'm also considering adding a second cab if neccessary when my bank account allows it, but right now, one will have to do. Thanks for any help with this. the mutt
