Hi, i need help so i thought i'd come to the experts.

i have a spector NS-2 with EMG pickups, I recently had to get a new circut board for it. i made a diagram of the wiring so i'd have no problem hooking it back up to the new circut board.
Then i lost the diagram, so my friend with an NS-2 came down
and brought his bass. we figured out the wiring with 1 problem i'm hoping somone can help me out with.
his pick ups only had the one white wire with a insulated and uninsulated end comming out of each pick up.
i have the same white wires but i also have a red wire coming out of each pick up.
his pick ups might of been spector factory models. i know mine are EMG PJ.
    please help!!!!! :crying:

It sounds like the red wire is the power for the active electronics built into the pickup. Connect it to the battery and otherwise wire it up the same as your friend's bass. Sounds like yours has active pups and your friend has passives.

NOTE: this is a guess from a distance, and I'd seriously encourage you to contact Spector and/or EMG for assistance.

Yes, red wire is the battery wire - I know this from experience.
You can download wiring diagrams from http://www.emgpickups.com
