Ok so I am putting new pickups in a bass and the some of the copper wire that touched the solder that touched the wire disconnected. Is it possible to fix this or should I just get new pickups?

    Welcome to TalkBass.
"New" pickups in a bass. Is that "new" new pickups or different pickups? If they are new I'd contact the seller and get replacements. If they are used a tech repair person should be able to help you out.

If the wire is broken off in the solder, yeah you messed it up, take it to a tech. If the entire wire came off the solder joint; you didn't mess it up, it was a faulty joint to begin with and you should get it exchanged.
