need help

    My brother was downtuning on his guitar when the tuning pin popped out on the fifth string.Does anybody know how to fix it.

    Depends on what type of tuner. They can't be that much and the Tech at the shop should be able to install it while you wait.

    What kind of guitar? Is it an open back or a strip tuner? Is it an enclosed tuner? What part of the tuner popped out?

    The more information you can post will get you closer to the answer.

    He plays an Ibanez GRX20 and the part that popped out was the part that the string ties around but I don't know what kind of tuners he has and I don't have a digital camera.

    If it's the kind where you can't see the gears because of a cover being in the way, there's a chance you can pry the cover off and there might be a little screw in the middle which screws into the post which came off.

    Yea its that kind so do i just need to unscrew the back cover and screw it back in?
