I have to come up with geometric concepts that apply to musical instruments.

    So far all I have is: amp-prism; drum-cylinder; cymbal(s)-dilation.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Location
    Bo Diddley's "plank" = rectangle
Fender's "amp in a can" = (another) cylinder
Certain electronic drums = hexagon, octagon
Shure "green bullet" harp mic = some kinda' parabaloid?
    (any drummer's head) = a perfect cube :p (sorry)
    A Lakland bridge = ellipse
One of those spider-mount, hi $, studio mics = ?

You can probably get some ideas at http://www.bunnybass.com under "Amusing Basses".
