hey, normally i play by resting my finger on the pickup when uses the E string(i have a fender MIA P-bass), but lately ive been liking the sound of playing near the bridge, but i have a problem of where to rest my finger. Ive been thinking of a finger rest near the bridge but dont know where to get them, how to install them, or what they cost

    plz help me

i had a similiar problem. I was used to playing over the P pickup on my spector, then when i got my stingray i didnt know what to do. Fender and maybe all parts makes just a plain black fingerest for maybe $5 you can get. I wanted a pearloid one to match my stingray pickguard but no dice. I even tried to have a couple companies custom make me one but they wouldnt. Try lookin for the fender one, i know they make one.

Learn to float your thumb, then you don't need a finger rest.
