    bend, or
i am upgrading my beater hartke 30watt bass amp. but my options are limited (its my b-day in about a month so my parants cant spend to much) they gave me a price of $300 max for my b-day so.

carvin pb-100-15 100watt bass amp with 15inch speaker

ashdown eletric blue 130watt- 12inch speaker.

Very personal opinion : in this range of price, I'd go Ashdown...

The few Carvins I heard never thrilled me. An Ashdown once did (it was an ABM, though).

    All the best,
  4. I have that particular Ashdown, and it's a quality combo. Quality and powerful little amp. Handles my low B very very well for such a small speaker and low wattage. The only thing i dont like is the styling.

Although I have the Carvin PB100-15 I would get the Ashdown in your case because the more watts you have the better.
